Background and Design Information for Alpha Bravo

Alpha Bravo is a contemporary modular display typeface based on Victorian fat faces. In the late nineteeth century new typefaces emerged to fulfill the new demands of public advertising bills and posters now possible thanks to the industrialization of printing and new opportunities in mass production. "These new forms of commercial lettering were stronger more brash and exaggerated than earlier letters."1

Alpha Bravo uses custom kerning pairs and a range of modular serifs to give art directors, graphic designers, and typographers a multitude of options. Any letterform can be extended and bloated to any length of ones choosing. This is ideal for advertisements, billboards, posters or motion graphics. Alpha Bravo works anywhere you need to make a big splash.
